AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Cordia Ruth Harris Moore entered into rest Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the Golden Living Windermere in Augusta. The funeral mass was held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 12:15 p.m. at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Timothy Donahue officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens. She was a native of the Eastern Band Cherokee's in Brevard, N.C. and a graduate of Benedict College in Columbia, S.C. with a BS in Business and a Master's in Theatrical Arts. She was also a graduate of the Madame C.J. Walker School of Beauty and co-owner of the Four Sister's Beauty Salon in Augusta. She was a member of the Church of the Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the PCCW, Legion of Mary (Immaculate Conception Church), and the St. Jude Society. Survivors are one son, Arthur Moore, III, Augusta; three daughters, Mrs. Carolina Ruth Moore Griffin Gonzalez, Silver Spring, Md., Ms. Elizabeth Corley Moore, Augusta, and Mrs. Freddie Mae Moore, (Phil) DeAso, Walnut Creek, Calif.; three brothers, Mr. John (Verline) Harris, St. Albans, N.Y., Mr. William Harris, Waterbury, Conn., and Mr. Ed Harris, Columbia, S.C.; one sister, Mrs. Annie Mae Harris Warwick, Philadelphia, Pa.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends. The Holy Rosary was held Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 1765 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
