A RANT FOR the schools in Aiken. We have registration fees and supplies in August, now pictures and yearbooks in September, fundraising in October. We need a break. Supply the school with enough money to buy toilet paper so the PTO doesn't have to supply it, and give the parents a break. The picture packages are absolutely ridiculous. You can't get one 8x10 (without) having to buy a $50 package of 100 pictures you don't want. Find a different photographer, please. We can't afford all of this.

I HAVE TO say I've always thought Sheriff Mike Hunt was a fair man. ... but this time I see the politician coming out in Sheriff Hunt. That punk needed a good whipping. One that his mama should have given him to teach him respect of the badge. I just question why the deputy didn't take the punk to the rear of the car so things couldn't be seen on tape. And no, (I hope) you ain't getting paid, you jerk!

CAN SOMEONE explain why North Augusta Public Safety continued to buy gas from one retailer at $5.29 per gallon when less than a block away gas was $3.59 per gallon?
LOOKS LIKE THE Aiken County Sheriff Office's true colors are coming out. They aren't any better than most crooked police departments. They won't do anything about the real crimes when asked to, but ride around looking for someone to harass and abuse as they see fit. What gives them the right to judge or decide what incident is a true crime and which one is not until it is fully investigated? It this a new way of running the law, for the department to decide what is right and what is wrong?
SOUTH CAROLINA Democratic bigwig Carol Fowler made an underhanded slur against Sarah Palin, saying in effect that Ms. Palin didn't get an abortion, thus all she knows in life or politics is how not to get an abortion. Clearly, this Fowler woman is a major embarrassment to South Carolinians and should be thrown from jobs in the Democratic Party.

You are so right about Sheriff Hunt"s Boy Scout Troops. Give them a badge and a gun and they think they're Wyatt Earp. I was arrested for CDV and wasn't even home at the time she aledged the incident happened. Could it have been that she offered him a cup of coffee, a piece of cake or piece of something????? Why do they always believe the woman, no matter what the situation ?
