Vote 'NObama' to preserve gun rights

For Pete's sake, what you guys won't come up with to scare people into voting for the same old same old we been having. Replacing Bush with McCain is like replacing Curly with Shemp. The dialogues the same, just played by an older stiffer vaudeville has been. The Supreme has spoken. No one will take our guns from us. Sheesh, can't you guys come up with some substance? Folks out your way must be pretty lame.

I agree, with Mr. Morris and it will all be done in the NAME OF THE CHILDREN -- we need to worry about keeping this country free for our children and protect gun rights. Most of the people talking about gun control are walking around with armed guards. When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. I think the present guns laws are too restrictive for law abiding citizens with no criminal record.

cyou299 -- People should be scared -- you should be scared -- we live in scary times -- we are having trouble with the stock market -- we have our government taking over private companies like AGI -- this is a move toward Socialism -- I am scared to think what Obama would do. What is his idea of CHANGE? Would it be to nationalize the oil companies and healthcare -- affordably gas and health care for everyone? I am afraid if he gets in we will become the USSA (United Socialist States of America). Take from the rich and give to the poor. WWIII is knocking on our door with all the economic problems in the world -- do you really think Obama can deal with these problems? I think his answer to the problems will be more socialism. I don't think we will have the same old same old no matter who gets elected -- economic problems are forcing change on us whether we want it or not and the question is who can best deal with the changes that are forced upon us?

I read where Russia and Cuba were having some sort of joint military exercise off the coast of Florida and last week during the gasoline panic here in Augusta -- someone made a comment on the newspaper web site -- they were concerned Russia and Cuba might invade Florida -- I thought it an unrealistic fear. Then I thought -- what would stop them? Most of our Military is scattered around the world protecting other countries. The world is kind'a crazy now and I think anything is possible. There is a remote possibility this country could be invaded and we the people are the last line of defense. I don't think any gun restriction should be placed on honest law abiding citizens that don't have criminal records. I think restriction should be place on people that have criminal records and non-citizens. In this day and age with the technology we have police offices know when they stop someone if they have a criminal record or are not a US citizen.

BTurner, Don't be scared, people shouldn't be scared. Remember who is in charge of this world and the "WORD" he gave us, "fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul" ...Matthew 10:28 "Fear not" is repeated at least 62 times.

This single issue is indicative of the general Marxist mind set of Obama. Many people fall for the manifesto concept, even with the dozens of examples of failure history holds for us. I feel this is an intended consequence of the dumbing down of our school system by those who feel the masses want to be controlled and taken care of so they can spend more time enjoying their life. "Security equals freedom" is the thief in the night.

C'mon guys, I voted for Bush twice and I will certainly vote for McCain. But Republicans aren't 100% right and Democrats aren't 100% wrong. I do have numerous reasons that are issue related for not voting for Obama but I don't think he is the Antichrist. While it's kinda fun here to post all of our one sided arguments for the candidate of our choice, perhaps we should get a little more in step with reality. We all claim we need bipartianship to solve the problems facing us but how can that be?

You want proof? How about the poison being thrown at John McCain. Here's a man who served in our military for 26 years, 5 of those as a POW, tortured, kept in solitary for 2 of those years, stayed with his fellow captives and endured that Hell, now being called every name in the book. It make me sick, and the liberals get away with it. Can you imagine if a Democratic pres. candidate had this past was being attacked like this? The attackers would be crucified. JFK was not attacked like this, and he was never a POW. It makes me sick. McCain/Palin 08!!

The big issue is automatic weapons and armor piercing rounds that are an extreme danger to law enforcement. If you think people should be able to walk the streets with uzies and the like then you need to enlist in the Nazi Party in my opinion. Most people,myself included have firearms in thier homes for hunting,target skeet etc.There is no way I will give up my firearms,but I can't or won't support an organization that is one of the biggest lobbiest in Washington that thinks it is all right to own military type arms for the citizens. I am glad to hear that tone of fear in your voice. And you are correct, we will continue to "whittle" at gun rights until they are in line with the 21st century. It's not Obama, it's the people. There are intirely to many guns on the streets of America in the hands of instable people. You gun rights people were "greedy". It wasn't enough you had guns for protection and hunting, but you want assault weapons too!! Blame yourselves for being greedy and out of line. And yes, Obama will be the next president. The voices of many will drown out the voices of the few who were raised in households of racial bigiots with the theroy of "Me, Me, Me." That in itself was not so bad, but you lacked the intelligence to change, and now you are in the minority. Your constitution theroy is washed up and your bear arms for protection is lame. Thank you all for a good Saturday morning laugh. The American economy is going to hell in a handbasket, people are losing their houses, jobs and 401ks and you're worrying about your guns! What good is the 2nd amendment if you don't have the money to buy a gun or a home to protect. So by all means let's keep the folks in office that got us in this mess so you can keep those guns! And please continue to spread all those lies about Obama and how mean we dems are and how nice Karl Rove and repubs are - it helps keep me motivated.

Has anyone beides me noticed that the Democrats are very "compasionate" when they can use other people's money to do so? Look at Obama and how much he has personally donated and how much more than that he wants to make all of us donate.

I own several guns and I will be voting for Obama during the early voting period. This same cast, can talk till they are blue in the face. Hey people,this isn't France or England or any other third world country so what's to worry. This country was born with the gun and will have guns forever,and don't be fooled by any BS laws that the government wants to impose on John Q Citizen to take your guns away,like I can't replace it,yeah right in the blink of an eye and with the almighty dollar anything can happen,where do you think the bad guys get their guns ? Gun shops cannot tell a criminal from a citizen. Especially if the gun owner has threatened someone else's life and he doesn't have a criminal record. We need to slice up all that pork money we are sending to Iraq and use it to get more officers out on our streets. McCain is no friend of victim rights and he has turned a blind eye to people who are victims of gun violence -- especially those who are victims of domestic violence. That is why I am supporting Obama. If it was Mott the Hopple on the ballot against McCain, I'd vote for Mott. No way. No how. No McCain.

When Owbama was an IL legislator, there was a "3 strikes you're out" bill for convicted felons coming up for vote. He didn't want to vote for it, fearing it would anger the African-American vote in IL. He didn't want to vote against it, fearing he would anger those advocating stronger penalties against repeat offenders. What does Owbama do? You guessed it...he voted "present." Now, how is that for decisive action. Yep, that's the kind of strong leader we need as president. I can see it now...President Owbama doesn't want to lift the sanctions against Cuba...but he doesn't want to say he's for extending them until there is reform in that tyranical country. Yeah, that's some kind of change we can believe in! When I was in the navy, we used to say about then President Clinton, "Trying to get a straight answer out of him is like trying to put socks on an octopus!" I'd say that applies perfectly to Owbama as well! McCain/Palin 08!!

Obama asked the MidEast leaders not to push for the US exit of military personnel until AFTER HE WAS ELECTED; his plan is to wait three years, then remove the troops so he can be glorified as the "savior" in this fiasco. That rather fits with his pushing for eliminating the Second Amendment. It also fits with his German speech that the "Germans, like the US, needs to redistribute its wealth." Voting for Obama is like inviting the plague into your living room just so you could sit back and watch your family sicken and die.
