WOODVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Joe C. Harrison, 70, entered into rest September 12, 2008 at Heartland Hospice, Augusta, Ga. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 22, 2008, in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery with the Dr. Tom Drake officiating. Mr. Harrison was born in Cramerton, North Carolina to the late Harold and Minnis Harrison. He was a previous resident of Columbia County. Mr. Harrison had retired as Project Engineer with the State Highway Department. For many years, he proudly served the Georgia Army National Guard in Thomson, Ga. Survivors include one son, Samuel Jay Harrison, Greensboro, Ga.; one daughter, Jodi Elizabeth Harrison, Atlanta; one brother, Harold 'Buddy' Harrison, Martinez; one sister, Ann Frontz, Columbiana, Alabama; and numerous grandchildren.
