LANGLEY, S.C. - Completed life's journey and entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 15, 2008, Ms. Dorothy Marie Buckner Creed, age 77, of Langley, S.C., wife of the late James Anderson and daughter of the late Perry Cecil Buckner and the late Ida Mae Burrell Buckner. She is survived by three daughters; Virginia Yonce of Langley, Linda Cantrell of Kingston, Ga., and Janice Krause of Windsor, S.C.; six sisters, Ola Mae Taylor of Augusta, Ga., Marion Clayton and Evelyn Waters both of Clearwater, S.C., Mary McCord of Clearwater, S.C., Sylvia Smith of Decatur, Ga., Nina Adams of Corpus Christi, TX; three brothers, Robert Buckner, Sr. of Aiken, S.C., Robert Buckner, Jr. of Hephzibah, Ga. and Johnny Buckner of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was a foster grandparent at Jefferson Elementary, and she really loved her grandkids and foster grandkids. She was born in Travelers Rest, S.C. but she has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. She was a dedicated member of Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Bath Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bath, S.C. with Rev. Bill Branch and Rev. Roland Smith officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville, S.C. The pallbearers will be Brandon Parrish, Robert Parrish, Sr., Robert Parrish, Jr., Richard Brockington, Hubert Cantrell and Jerry Archer. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, September 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Napier Funeral Home.
