NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Dorothy Morine Gilliland, 96, wife of the late Dock A. Gilliland, of North Augusta, entered into rest Sunday, September 14, 2008 at National Healthcare. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, in Rowland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary C. Redding officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park. Mrs. Gilliland was a native of Alexander City, AL, having made North Augusta her home since 1954. She was a member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Survivors include one son, Thomas Gilliland, North Augusta; one daughter, Jean Way, Conroe, TX; one brother, Wilburn Thomas, Cossoda, AL; one sister, Marie Vernon, Alexander City, AL; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Gilliland was preceded in death by her husband Dock A. Gilliland, her brother, Ted Thomas and two sisters, Vivian E. Stephens and Juanita Walburn. Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
