WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Ms. Pearl Burke Williams, 80, joined her oldest daughter, Patricia, on Friday, September 12, 2008. Ms. Williams was born in Millen, GA on September 8, 1928 to the late Arnold Lee and Vity Williams Burke. She was a retired cosmetologist and was a member of Habersham Methodist Church for many years. She is survived by her devoted and beloved companion, Lamar Prescott of Waynesboro; three children, Sue W. Skipp (Alex) of Houston, TX, Roy D. Williams (Fenecia) of Amarillo, TX, and Carolyn W. Fowler of Richmond, TX; brother, Jerry Burke; three sisters, Ethel B. Volf, Mazie B. Marsh, and Linda Sue Zubcheveck; five grandchildren, Michael W. Kitchens, Heather W. Reid, Kellie A. Kitchens, Alexander Skipp IV, and Nathan T. Skipp; seven great- grandchildren, Madeline Pearl Kitchens, Renden Reid, Payton M. Kitchens, Hannah Griner, Gracie and Jacob Griner, and Orrin M. Kitchens; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 17, 2008, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 18, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Habersham Methodist Church (2060 Habersham Church Road, Perkins, GA 30822). Ms. Williams will lie-in-state from 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Pastor Sue Diedolt will be officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery (3405 Oak Hill Church Road, Millen, GA 30442). Pallbearers will be Michael Kitchens, Alexander and Nathan Skipp, Troy Braswell, Allen Braswell, Tim Braswell, and Perry Lane.
