AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Joan Hares Genitski, 81, wife of the late Mr. Alex Genitski entered into rest Monday, September 15, 2008, at McDuffie County Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Tracy Pressley officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was born in Scranton, PA to the late James and Hilda Mae Smith Hares and had lived in Augusta since 1964. Survivors include her son, Allen James Genitski and his wife Susan and daughter Sandra Huskey all of Augusta; grandchildren, Melvin Silvery, III, Tara Perkins, Jason Genitski and Mike Grazick; sisters, Barbara Napolitano and her husband Tom and Beverly Moroski and her husband Mike; half-brother, Bobby Hares all of Pennsylvania.
