Good job....Hang em High...
Three men taken into custody during a Richland County traffic stop are being linked to a fatal shooting Monday morning in Aiken County.
Lt. Michael Frank, of the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, said the three were stopped about 6:20 p.m. in the 5500 block of North Main Street in Columbia.
Lt. Frank said drugs and guns were found inside the car, and a search warrant later revealed evidence linking them to the Aiken shooting of Frederick L. Tucker, 39.
"Sometime between now and tomorrow these individuals will be charged with the murder of Frederick Tucker," Lt. Frank said.
A neighbor found Mr. Tucker shot to death at his home on Old Barnwell Road near Montmorenci about 10:30 a.m. and called police.
The neighbor said he saw three men dressed in dark clothes running out the back door of the man's home.
No motive for the shooting has been determined, Lt. Frank said.
Police spent much of Monday looking for the suspects.
The Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team was used on the ground and a helicopter crew provided air support.
Good job....Hang em High...
I wonder if they check those weapons to see if they are linked to other crimes? They should.
Sounds like drugs to me!
The area of Columbia that they were caught in is known for drugs, but is trying to rebuild itself into a nice community. It is good they were caught because they would have probably committed another crime.
Four lives were lost over something that was worthless and pointless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOD JOB! The presence of a good witness can be a very valuable factor in giving law enforcement cause to stop particular vehicles after a crime. If the suspects and the car match up, then there is a good probability the criminals are caught. Thanks for a witness who got involved.
