AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Ralph M. Temples, 94, husband of Mrs. Clara Westmoreland Temples, entered into rest Saturday, September 13, 2008 at his residence. A graveside service will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend William Burch officiating. Mr. Temples, a native of Blakely, GA, was the son of the late Orson B. and Bernice Smith Temples. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a liasion pilot in England and France. He was also retired from the Department of Justice as a U.S. Marshal. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with both his son-in-law and grandsons. Mr. Temples was a member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and E.J. Maddocks of Augusta, daughter Jan Temples of Hilton Head Island, SC; grandson, Jared Maddocks and his fiancee Catherina Slaminko, and grandson and spouse Jeffrey and Sarah Maddocks all of Columbia, SC. Honorary pallbearers will be, E.J. Maddocks, Jared Maddocks, Jeffrey C. Maddocks, Julian Florie, Wade H. Maddocks and Gregory P.W. Maddocks. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to either the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909, to the St. Joseph Foundation/Trinity Hospice, P.O. Box 31358, Augusta, GA 30903, or to Burns Memorial United Methodist Church, 2372 Lumpkin Rd., Augusta, GA 30906.
