GIBSON, Ga. - Mrs. Mary Chalker Prescott, 89, the beloved wife of 41 years to Robert Prescott and the daughter of the late Jeff and Verna Hammock Prescott, entered into rest Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Gibson Health & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at James Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Stan Littleton officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park in Augusta, Ga. Mrs. Prescott was a member of Pineview Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include her children, Marian (Tom) Lamb, Wrens, GA, and Merv (Ginger) Reese, Thomson GA., and step daughter, Larraine (Don) Nutter, Plainville, Michgan; six grandchildren, nine great- grandchildren, and eight step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Edward Bruce Thompson Jr., Billy Chalker, Olin Mathis, Michael Pierce Kent, Thomas Franklins Lynam and William Boone Bostick.
