Ruth Moore Anderson (SNELLING, S.C.)

SNELLING, S.C. - Mrs. Ruth Moore Anderson, 84, wife of Carl S. Anderson, Sr., died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Palmetto Baptist Hospital, Columbia. Mrs. Anderson, a native of Snelling, S.C., was born on August 13, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Oma DeLeon Moore and Maude Ruth Hill Moore. She was a former employee of Shuron, Inc. and along with her husband owned Ruth's Nursery. She was a member of Seven Pines Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery (Airport). The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Carl S. Anderson, Sr. of Snelling, S.C.; sons, Carl S. "Brookie" (Glynn) Anderson, Jr. of Snelling, S.C., Earl (Beth) Anderson of Williston, S.C., and Norman Anderson of Snelling, S.C.; daughter, Teena (Ronnie) Renew of Barnwell, S.C.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters, Gladys M. Rountree and Virginia M. Duncan; three brothers, Willard Moore, Earl Moore, and W. W. "Billy" Moore, Sr. Mole Funeral Home, 803-259- 3166.
