The Gamecocks have set the 'Dawgs up with their poor play the first two games. Georgia will meet its worst nightmare at 3:30 today. Go Gamecocks!!

The Border Bash is a joke again. Might as well be the Georgia Bash. The rudest SOB's I have ever been around. Booing the death of a man that was instrumental in bringing this redneck attraction to all the butt sniffers just because he happened to be a gamecock. A grown lady leg humper was yelling USC sucks right in my 4 year old sons ear.

Just My Opinion

zcock, I can't say that I really disagree with you, with the only exception being that there are buttheads on BOTH sides of the line. If you really think about it, there are just as many rude people wearing garnet as their are wearing red. Your own post is a good example..."butt sniffers" and "leg humper"? As far as the Border Bash itself, just remember that it is primarily a huge fundraiser and to put it down may only keep people away, thus reducing the money being raised. I think the answer is for more Gamecock fans to show up! Surely you know some, so get them to come. And, I guess another answer is for there to be less, or no, drinking of alcohol down there. I've always been told that it gets much rowdier after dark at the Bash. We all know that alcohol just gets the rude people "ruder" and the loud people louder!

I've always disliked the Bulldogs simply because they seem to have the rudest fans! It's good to support a team you like, it's not cool to slam any and everyone else who happens to have a different opinion than you. I don't have a thing against the Bulldogs, only their fans.

I guess the point of view is from where your group stood. We were over to the right of the stage in the VIP area. Our food was excellent, plenty of it, and when they announced the death of the organizer we didn't hear any rude things. From our view point it was a great party. The bands were great, especially the feature act- ABSOLUTELY SUPERB! It's really a huge event, very colorful, but unfortunately when you get a big group and pour beer, there's inevitably going to be those who show out. Next year, buy a VIP ticket. It's well worth the price for the entertainment, you can sit, there are some fans to help cool you and it's a really good group of folks over there. It will change your opinion. Sorry anyone had a bad time- this is a great cause and great event.

I didn't know border bash was a family event. I have never been to one, I just figure Friday night, college kids, football fanatics, and lots of beer between rivals was more of a grown up party. I have never been because it just seems its not a family event. I think its great that rivals can get together and have this great party civilly, I didnt thinkit would be a good idea becuase there would be lots of fights, but I have heard nothing negative about it. But understanding the rivalry and adding beer I can not help but to think there would be lots of egging each other on. If USC sucks was the worst part of your event, I'd say thats pretty good, though booing the deceased was tasteless. I thought about going this year, but a baby sitter wasn't available. Is it really a toddler/small child friendly event?

the deceased is my father. I attended the game and border bash this past weekend. I was highly upset that the georgia fans booed my father. As he was essential in making the border bash continue year to year. Please pray for my family, thank you
