Augusta festival
The 2008 Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival will be Friday through Sunday, Sept. 19-21, at Augusta Common. The hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.
The festival will include arts and crafts, an international food bazaar and a literary village.
Weekend badges cost $7, and are $5 in advance. Children ages 10 and younger are free.

Heritage concert
Singer-songwriter Christine Kane will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Heritage Academy, 333 Greene St.

Silence is golden
A Silent Movie Night will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at the Sacred Heart Cultural Center, 1301 Greene St.
As part of the Westobou Festival, the silent film Pandora's Box will be shown, accompanied by the music of theater organist Ron Carter. Tickets are $12 for general seats and $35 for seating in the VIP area with courtesy bar and snacks.

Museum program
Preserving History: Behind the Scenes at the Augusta Museum of History, designed to show visitors how the museum maintains its historical collections, will hold guided tours at 1 and 2 p.m. Saturdays through September. The museum is at 560 Reynolds St.
Space is limited to 15 per session, and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. The tour is free with the cost of regular admission.
Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, $2 for children and free for children under age 5 and museum members.

Ride 'em, cowboy
The Steel Horses Tour 2008 will be at Fort Gordon's Barton Field on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19 and 20. Gates will open at 6 p.m., and the rodeo will begin at 8.
Military Appreciation Night will be that Friday. Family Fun Night will be the next night and will feature crafts and games.
Tickets for adults are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Tickets for ages 10 and under are $5 in advance and $10 at the gate.
