LANGLEY, S.C. - A life remembered, a love that will never be forgottenÃFirst Lady Sister Betty J. Stephens Jones, 65, of 204 Keith Drive, Langley, S.C., was quietly surrendered by our God on Monday morning, September 8, 2008 at Aiken Regional Medical Center, Aiken, S.C. The funeral service in honorable tribute will be held at noon Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Old Storm Branch Baptist Church, North Augusta, S.C. with Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Irvin, Sr., Pastor, officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, S.C. She was a retiree with Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken and a member of the Glover Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Gloverville, in which she served as the First Lady and was also affiliated in various other boards throughout the church. To everything there is a seasonà a time to be bornÃa time to dieÃThose survivors left behind to cherish her special memories are her loving and devoted husband of 40 years, Rev. Bobby J. Jones; one son, Bobby Keith Jones of the home; her step-father-in-law, Claudis Smith; one sister-in-law, Evan. Tommie Jean Jones; six brothers- in-law, four sisters-in-law; three godchildren; one uncle, Freddie Scott; and a host of other grieving family members and loyal friends in the surrounding communities that will pay final tribute to this very wonderful and loving lady of character. The family will be receiving friends at the residence. The viewing will be held on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
