- An Augusta Commission committee lacked the votes Monday to approve recommendations for tax rebates and other improvements for residents of Hyde Park subdivision. Commissioner Alvin Mason's motion to approve the recommendations of the commission's Hyde Park Subdivision Subcommittee failed to pass on a 2-1 vote with one abstention and will now go to the full Augusta Commission on Tuesday for a vote. Because of a reporter's error, a news article in Tuesday's editions did not accurately report the measure's status.

- Because of an editor's mistake, cartoonist Grady Abrams was misidentified on Page 2A of Tuesday's newspaper.

The Chronicle regrets the errors.
