PIRATES: Nate McLouth left Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants in the bottom of the fourth inning after being struck near his left eye by a batted ball.

The All-Star center fielder dived for a sinking liner hit by former Augusta GreenJacket Pablo Sandoval . The ball bounced in front of McLouth and ricocheted off him into left field, allowing three runs to score on the play.

McLouth left with a cut above his left eyebrow that required three stitches. He was replaced by Nyjer Morgan .

Earlier in the game, a stolen base helped McLouth become the seventh player in Pittsburgh history to record 20 stolen bases and 20 home runs in a single season.

ASTROS: Starter Wandy Rodriguez left the game in the second inning Sunday because of a left oblique strain.

Jack Cassel , brother of New England Patriots backup quarterback Matt Cassel , replaced Rodriguez.

MARLINS: Catcher Matt Treanor left Sunday's game, not long after fouling a ball off his left knee in the second inning.

Treanor grounded out to end the inning and then took his position, but he walked off the field during warm-ups. John Baker replaced him.

PADRES: Pitcher Chad Reineke is out for the season with a shoulder injury, and the team called up right-hander Mike Ekstrom and infielder Drew Macias from Double-A San Antonio on Saturday.
