LAURENS, S.C. - Pauline Lowe Caldwell, 89, of Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center in Laurens, formerly of North Augusta and widow of Jack Caldwell passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008. Born in Johnson City, TN, she was a daughter of the late Lafayette and Mary Brittenham Lowe. Mrs. Caldwell was a retired travel agent at Fort Gordon, GA and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of North Augusta, SC. Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Linda C. Yarbrough and Jim of Laurens; three grandchildren and spouses, Jamie Yarbrough, Jr. and Michelle of Simpsonville, John Yarbrough and Brooke of Laurens, Mary Beth Kennedy and Price of Laurens; four great-grandchildren, Jack Yarbrough, Julia Kennedy, Jamie Yarbrough, III and Braden Yarbrough; and a sister, Jean Nave of North Augusta. She was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur Lowe, George Lowe and Fred Lowe and three sisters, Wilma Lowe, Gertrude DeSpain and Margaret Hastings. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 7, 2008, in Pineview Memorial Gardens in North Augusta conducted by Dr. Bev T. Kennedy, Jr. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends after the service.
