NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Entered into rest Monday, September 1, 2008 at University Hospital, Mr. Harold George Staubitz, age 63, beloved husband of Mrs. Gayle Bledsoe Staubitz of 443 Hickory Drive, North Augusta, SC, 29860 and son the late Harold James and Verna Cooper Staubitz. A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, September 6, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Burnettown with Rev. Cory Glover and Rev. Ray Boggs officiating. Burial will be private. Mr. Staubitz was a native of Richmond County GA and had lived in the North Augusta area for most of his life. He had retired as a manager for NAPA Auto Parts and was a veteran of the US Coast Guard having served in the Vietnam War with 4 years of service. Mr. Staubitz was of the Christian faith and was a loving Husband, Father, PaPa and Brother. Additional survivors include one son, John William (Angie) Staubitz, Bristol, VA; three daughters, Karen (John) Stoll, Martinez, GA, Faith (Dayton) Stone, North Augusta, Erin (Heath) Williams, Warrenville; two sisters, Phyllis Walker, Bath, and Faye (Jim) Curtis, Leesville. Mr. Staubitz was predeceased by one brother, Troy Staubitz and one sister Thelma Rutland. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm this evening Friday, September 5, 2008 at the residence, 443 Hickory Drive, North Augusta, SC, 29860. Flowers are to be delivered to the First Baptist Church of Burnettown Saturday starting at 12:00 noon.
