- Air Force Airman Kiesha Welsh , a 2007 graduate of Glenn Hills High School and daughter of Benjamin Welsh and Kim Valentine, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Air Force Airman Megan C. Leverette , a 2007 graduate of T.W. Josey High School and daughter of Athel and Patricia Leverette, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Air Force Airman 1st Class Christopher C. Sharpe , a 2001 graduate of A.R. Johnson Health, Science and Engineering Magnet High School and grandson of Clarence and Rosa Sharpe, of Hephzibah, has graduated with honors from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

- Army Pvt. Richard P. Koro , grandson of Henry Mober, of Hephzibah, has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
