NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mrs. Doris Collier Martin, 44, of Whitewood Way, entered into rest September 2, 2008 at University Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Seago and Hattie Collier. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Gilbert Lambuth Memorial Chapel at Paine College with the Rev. Dr. Albert M. James officiating. Mrs. Martin, a native of Edgefield County was a graduate of North Augusta High School and Augusta State University School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. She was a member of Second Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Michael Dwayne Martin; three sons, Johnnie Lee Hamilton, III, Justin Martin and Joshua Martin; two stepsons, Macaro Martin and Mikell Martin; a stepdaughter, Chazitear Martin; a beloved aunt, Annie (Lawrence) Cormier, who raised her along with her children, Anthony Page, Timothy Houston and Linda Cormier; mother-in-law, Rachel Patterson; two brothers- in-law, Derwin Martin and Charles (Michelle) Harvey; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
