WASHINGTON, Ga. - Mr. Aubrey Miles 'Sonny' Chafin, 54, died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in Wills Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Aubrey M. Chafin, Sr. and the late Jennie P. Fanning Chafin. Sonny was a member of Washington Chapel and had been employed as a shipping clerk in the textile industry. Survivors include his sister, Audrey Lynne Land and her husband, Gene; nephews, Gene Land, Jr. and Christopher Land. Graveside services will be Friday at 4:00pm in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Gale Seibert officiating. Eddie Huff, Louis Echols, Ronnie Chafin, Chris Land, Mac Chafin and Bobby Turpin will serve as pallbearers.
