Sorry, the Democrats just lost my vote this week!
I have been an undecided voter up until now, waiting to see which party would have the greatest offerings. I was pleased with Sen. Barack Obama's choice of Sen. Joe Biden for vice president, feeling he would bring depth to the ticket. My biggest concerns, naturally, come from the proposals of Sen. Obama, which will be costly to put into operation, and this will definitely mean taxes will have to increase. I have not been convinced that this will be good for our nation.
My decision on my election choice came this week with the immediate outbursts from the Democratic Party over the announcement of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter's pro-life choice. I was appalled at their reactions in light of their previous endorsements and forgiveness of Bill Clinton's prominent affair in the White House, and the more recent affair of former Sen. John Edwards.
How can the Democrats openly defy the Palin situation when their icons were already setting the examples with their own promiscuous behavior? Kind of like the kettle calling the pot black, don't you think?
We need a new administration that offers honesty, integrity and compassion!
