CALLING TALENTED TEENS: THE AUGUSTA CHRONICLE is accepting nominations for Community Counts Youth of the Month. This award recognizes good pupils, 8 to 18 years old, who also have special talents in the arts, athletics or other areas. Youths who volunteer in their school, church or community also are worthy of nomination.
Those selected as Youth of the Month will be highlighted in an article in The Augusta Chronicle. A banquet will be held next summer to honor all 12 recipients and their family members.
Nomination forms are available at augustachronicle.com/communitycounts. Finalists will be notified by phone and an interview will be scheduled. Nominations from previous months will be kept on file for one year and considered at each judging.
