What was he doing roaming around at +/-4:30 am? And who was he talking to on the phone? I had a 12:30am curfew at that age, I was still living under my parents roof......

My curfew at that age was 11 pm!

Well I had a curfew as well, it was 10:30, but that doesn't mean I followed it. And I was never a bad kid, never been arrested, just wanted to talk and stay up late. Most kids break curfew and sneak out, can't watch them every minute.

You don't have to watch kids every minute, just make them think you do. That won't make them behave all of the time, but it will give them pause.

The last time I said that nothing good happens at 5:00am I was jumped on. I will let you all handle this one. I am not clear as to if the shooting took place inside or outside the apartment. Since nothing about forced entry was in the article. One would assumed....Naw I wont go there.

I'm with Hypo. I don't ever prefer to be out much past midnight. If you are out at 2AM you can bet that majority of drivers are under the influence. Nothing good is going on during these hours except for crime and people looking for their next victim.

This story is too vague to make-out what transpired, I don't reckon the victim is to blame but the gun-toting & shooting dangerous thugs who shot another HUMAN are to blame!!! I despise these thugs. Reckon I should hang-out on the streets from midnight to dawn just to vent my revenge on these punk a*% thugs.

This article says the victim was found on the FLOOR. A person that is on the floor is inside a building, and not roaming around. It doesn't really matter what time this happened. The victime could have been up at 5 a.m. making donuts for all I care. The problem isn't that he was up and talking on the phone. The problem is that he was shot. As a parent, I would not want my 17 year old up at all times of night either, but I don't think that I would be mad that he was shot while on the phone at 5 in the morning. I know for a fact that I would be mad just because he was shot. I agree with patherluvcik and PatT.

The kid was buglarizing the place. The other two had the same idea, but the kid had beaten them there. Angry, they shot him in the leg--end of story.
