BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Wallace E. "Waldo" Webb, 93, beloved husband of Geneva Webb, entered into rest on Friday, August 29, 2008 at Heroes' Point in the Uptown Veterans Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wally Hoyle officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Grandsons, Mark Savage, Tim Webb, Don Webb, Jr., Jason Lazenby, Darrell Estep and Brandon Estep will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Webb served in WWII in the Army stationed in Hawaii. He worked for many years at BF Shaw at the Savannah River Plant and retired in 1981. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters, Local 150 since 1952. He was a longtime member of Morningside Baptist Church. In addition to his wife Geneva, he is survived by five children, Larry Webb, Beech Island, Donald (Martha) Webb, Martinez, Marcia (Jerry) Savage, Beech Island, Susan (Willis) Lazenby, Beech Island and Jerry (Barbara) Webb, Lafayette, Indiana; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
