Man who shot at vehicle is convicted of murder

  • Follow Metro

An Augusta man who fired into a moving vehicle, killing a passenger, was convicted of murder Wednesday.

A Richmond County Superior Court jury convicted Maurice L. Roscoe, 29, of all charges in the Feb. 20, 2007, murder of 21-year-old Pierce McClattie.

According to testimony this week, Mr. Roscoe argued with the victim's brother and chased after the brothers' vehicle, firing a gun at them on Olive Road near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

Oh my goodness we will now

Oh my goodness we will now support this poor deluded person for the rest of his days maybe.....Three meals a day, bed, entertainment, library as compared to a cold piece of ground for the victim with out any chance of life...The scales of justice seem kind of "off-kilter"...Life without parole on a chain-gang busting rocks all day seems a little easier to swallow as a fitting punishment...

" TV B.S."? This idiot had

" TV B.S."? This idiot had the nerves to say that this was not his intended victim. I guess he thought that had he killed the one he thought it was, he would be give a pass. What is wrong with these young people? They have no respect for life. There are plenty of opportunities to channel all of this energy into something positive. If you live a thug life, then you will die a thug death or spend the rest of your life in jail. Sympathies to the victim and his family.
