NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - Mr. Cloyd Cartledge, Sr., of Melody Lane, entered into rest August 26, 2008 at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Cartledge, a native of McCormick County was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Plum Branch. Survivors include his wife, Mozelle Oliphant Cartledge; three daughters, Gladys A. (Larry) Williams, Hephzibah, Ga., Deloris Price, North Augusta and Valeria Marie Stone, Philadelphia, Pa.; eight sons, Claude (Maggie) Cartledge, Jr., Leroy (Debbie) Cartledge, Randy (Joyce) Cartledge, Marvin (Linda) Cartledge, North Augusta; Douglas (Demetria) Cartledge, Belvedere, Terry (Martha) Cartledge, Arlington, Texas; Steven (Shirley) Cartledge, Martin, S.C. and Michael (Jennifer)Young, Aiken, S.C.; a sister, Roxie Canady, Newark, N.J.; sisters-in-law, Annie R. Butler, Pearl Holston, Barbara Wilson, Flossie (William) Ryans, Eddie Ruth Cartledge; brothers-in-law, Leroy Oliphant and Willie Lee Tucker; 38 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
