NORWOOD, Ga. - Mrs. Gwendolyn S. Hemphill, 88, died Tuesday, August 26, 2008 in the McDuffie Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hemphill was a lifelong resident of Warren County and a member of the First Baptist Church of Warrenton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Albert Hemphill Jr. She is survived by a son, Barry Wayne (Martha) Hemphill, Thomson; a sister, Tommie Reynolds, Norwood; and a niece, Beth Hinman, Norwood. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2008, in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ray Hope officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Rachels, Jim Michael, Tommy Phelps, Steve Phelps, Jimmy Norman, and Wally Thigpen. If so desired memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
