AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Monday, August 25, 2008 at his residence, Andy L. Chandler, 71, husband of Florence Booker Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a native and life long resident of Augusta. He served in the United States Navy. Mr. Chandler was a member of the Augusta Jaycees and was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. He loves golf, cooking and adores his grandchildren. His favorite pastime is socializing with his buddies at the Village Deli. Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter, Mary Kathryn Dozier and husband Tommy of Augusta; grandchildren, Anne Chandler Dozier, Thomas Dozier and Mason Dozier; brothers, Dr. O'Neal W. Chandler, Jr. of Atlanta and Joseph G. Chandler of Beaufort, S.C. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Andy Menger officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
