LANGLEY, S.C. - Mrs. Marian A. Overstreet, 66, beloved wife of forty-eight years to John H. Overstreet and daughter of Thaxter Marie Wilmot and the late Edward H. Wilmot, died suddenly Monday, August 25th, 2008. Born in St. Petersburg, Fla., she had been an area resident since 1961 where she was a very dedicated member of Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Overstreet was a very dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She always placed the needs of her family and friends before hers. She loved flowers, cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren. Additional family members include her children, Timothy Overstreet (Beth), Bath, S.C., Troy W. Overstreet (Jessica), Aiken, S.C., and Tracy D. Odom (James), Aiken, S.C.; siblings, Violet Wilmot, Prosperity, S.C., Billy J. Wilmot, St. Petersburg, Fla., the late Edward M. Wilmot and the late Anna Marie Holland; and her grandchildren, who she adored, Jonathan Overstreet, Megan Overstreet, Monica Overstreet, Taylor Odom, Halle Odom, Amelia Overstreet, Sophia Overstreet, and Olivia Overstreet. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 at 3 o'clock at Midland Valley First Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in Langley Cemetery, Langley, S.C. Mrs. Overstreet will be placed in the church at 2 o'clock Wednesday. The family has asked that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association ( www.diabetes.org) .
