AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, August 23, 2008 at University Hospital, LTC Imogene Foster, 75, of Augusta, Ga. LTC Foster was a native of Stearns, Ky. and resided in the Augusta area for the last thirty years. She graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Nursing School in Cincinnati and retired after 28 years of service from the U.S. Army Nursing Corps. LTC Foster served two tours in Vietnam. She is a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 1:00 p.m., at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Rev. Ed Frank celebrant. Interment will be Friday, August 29, 2008, 2:00 p.m., at Stearns Cemetery in Stearns, Ky. Memorials may be made to the Columbia County Humane Society, P.O. Box 204771, Martinez, GA 30917. A wake service will be held Tuesday evening, August 26, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. with Military Honors and the family will receive friends until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas Poteet and Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907.
