AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Reta M. Floyd, 87, beloved wife of the late Mr. Ernest S. 'Ernie' Floyd, entered into rest on Friday August 22, 2008. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel, with Rev. Larry Kirk officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Floyd was a longtime resident of the Augusta community, a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Sarah Schetgen, Augusta, Betty and Phil Killough, Martinez; son and daughter-in-law, James and Gail Goodson, Bloomington, Ind.; sister, Dorothy Mitchell, Clearwater, S.C.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, Laurie and Hattie Cowart Youngblood. A special thanks for the loving care given by Barbara Hall's Care Home and Trinity Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, Ga.
