BROADWAY, N.C. - Bobby Lynn Dodson, age 55, of Broadway, N.C., formerly of Augusta, died Saturday, August 23, 2008 at his home. He was born in Alamance County, son of the late William Vernon Dodson and Lily May Ray Dodson. A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Broadway with the Rev. Steve Ray officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the home of his son, Barry Dodson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ryals Dodson of the home; sons, Charles Guin of Broadway, N.C., Terry Guin of Wake Forrest, N.C., Christopher Guin of Louisburg, N.C., and Barry Dodson of Sanford, N.C.; daughter, Tammy Barger of Sanford, N.C.; brother, Willard Dodson of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and sisters, Carolyn Whitaker of Pittsboro, N.C. and Kay Tesney of Irmo, S.C.; nine grandchildren.
