Three men were arrested Saturday in what police are describing as a gang-related shooting of three men outside an Augusta nightclub.
Charles Bernard Gillians III, 20, of Augusta; Adrian Keshawn Frails, 20, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and John Anthony Turner, 19, of Augusta, were charged with four counts of aggravated assault and four counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Mr. Frails also is charged with theft by taking motor vehicle and possession of cocaine, according to a Richmond County Sheriff's Office news release.
The following were taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital: Michael Henderson, 17, of Augusta, who received injuries to his neck and chest; Devonye Person, 19, of Augusta, who received injuries to his back and buttocks; and Thomas Kirkland, 18, of Augusta, who received a gunshot wound to the head and remained in critical condition Saturday night, according to police.
The shooting occurred about 3:30 a.m. Saturday in a parking lot next to Soundtrack Nightclub on Laney-Walker Boulevard, where a rap concert was being promoted. The news release said it is the same parking lot where Richmond County sheriff's Sgt. Elijah Parker was shot in December.
The three suspects are accused of shooting at two cars in the parking lot, hitting all but one person inside the vehicles, sheriff's Lt. Scott Peebles said. Hundreds of people were present at the time, he said.
Police were flagged down on Laney-Walker by three people who said they had been shot, according to the release.
One of the men pointed out a car he said had been following them.
Officers tried to stop that vehicle, which had been reported stolen.
At that point, a chase ensued, ending with the driver losing control and the car crashing into a curb at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Olive Road. Three people in the car ran but were apprehended.
Police say they found a Mini-14 assault rifle, a 9 mm handgun and a .38-caliber handgun inside the car.
The three suspects might face additional charges, Lt. Peebles said.

All of these young people are going to be affected by this one incident; and for nothing...gang activity? How sad, so very sad. My prayers go out to their families, which I'm sure will somehow be affected, in one way or another.
While this club isn't aimed at this type of patron, it does draw them. I wonder if a harder group of security personnel would help. This part of town has enough problems without these punks making it hard on everyone else.
They need to stop all these blue-eyed, blonde-haired Norwegian kids from gathering like this. We all know how violent those kids can be in their Swedish gangs.

These kids age ranged from 17 -20. Let's lay most of the blame on the parents who are responsible for raising these kids. NO WAY, EVER should kids this age be allowed out at this hour. PARENTS get control of your children.
Anything associated with rap will sooner or later turn out negative. Few days go by that some rap "artist" is not arrested for drugs, violence and murder. That some people can link rap with music is astounding.

Rap is Crap
Everyone is entitled to their preferences! Just because you do not prefer Rap music does not mean others can not enjoy it! You should really be more open-minded. Narrow-minded people like you never do society any good. Just like people prefer Country, Techno, or Classical music......everyone is entitled to their opinion. Also, not all rappers are associated with drugs, violence, or murder. That is a common stereotype, but if you did your research you would be proven wrong. Rap is a form of music and is used in positive ways as well. That is why there are Christian rappers. You should close your mouth, open your eyes and do your research!
I wonder if the threat of bad weather sent Mr. Frails of Ft. Lauderdale our way, or if it was something else? Or both. This town is starting to sound like the shooting ranges at Fort Gordon.

You can go ahead and feel sorry for the victims families but as far as the kids arrested, their parents are more than likely thugs themelves. Kids learn by their parents examples. So the cycle just keeps repeating! dj80054, you are right on target!!!
What's new down on Laney Walker....that whole area need to be revamped....
Yes most of the time kids learn from their parents, but its also society. There are plenty of single parents that are forced to live in rougher parts of town because they are working their butts off to support their family but can't afford to live else where. So the kids are attending rougher schools and befriending people that may not be the best choices, but it's what is around. So yeah it most cases it probably is the parents. There are exceptions to families that are just unfortunate. We can't always place the blame on other people. The kids might be under the age of 21, but are grown enough to know what is a smart choice and what is not.
You pray for the thugs, just the facts. I'll send my prayers up for the innocents that have the misfortune of crossing the paths of all these devils that prowl our streets. These thugs need more than a prayer
The statement i would like to make is if you spare the rod you spoil the child,''and if parents would take full control of their kids and know who are they are involved with, and what they are doing for their daily activities a lot of issues can be dealed with approperly, we need to continue to educate our children and let them know that it is a better way than getting involved in gangs and drug activity,''and the next thing i would like to say is that the rate of unsettled and fatherless homes without love shown to them causes children to get involved in a lot of negetive activities,'' however,'' it starts from the home and my messege to all parents get involved with your children and show them love and please educate them becouse they can make better choices in life, if they are educated they would be a positive figuire in society itself and they wont turn to criminal activity thanks.
There is a church nearby where you can go and hear the Word of God and get delivered. The name of the church is Trumpet N Zion Fellowship. The parking lot that is used for the club is sometines used for the church members, There is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the ends thereof are the ways of Death and destruction. The older should teach the young but how can they when they both are blind? We must TURN or BURN in HELL. It is written.Do not be surprised when you hear about these incidences because these young people have chosen to live in a world of sin and have chosen the evil paths of life. What did Gd promise the ones whose eyes have been blinded by the gods of this world? He promised them the lake of fire and brimstone. Revelation 21:7,8. We need to get back to God in a hurry; especially our young folks. You haven't seen nothing yet. Keep living. There is a murdering spirit in the land that has come to steal our youth through drugs, nightclubs, disobedience, gangs, etc. They are so possessed until they are taking the lives of innocent victims who are productive members in society.The thief comes to STEAL. NeverWouldHaveMadeIt, I raised my kids by myself and was unfortunate enough and forced to live in the "rough" section of town and guess what? I never allowed my kids out at that hour. It's not where you live my friend but how you raise your children. Instill morals and compassion in them and they'll know when to make the right choices in life! They are now 33, 30, 24 and all made good choices. My two older girls have blessed me with 7 awesome grandchildren! My son is in school and is doing great! Blaming society is a total scapegoat!!!!
I am so sick and tired of these thugs, punks, and cowards walking around thinking that they "own" the area in which they live and that society owes them something!! Nothing about whites drinking and driving and killing people over the weekend. You guys feel totally different when responding to blacks in the news and then cry when called racist. I think we need out reach programs for our young people, we tell them what to say no to, lets try to make a diference in thier lives. Where is the out cry from the churches, we have to start getting out from behind the walls of the churches and reach out to our young people. What would Jesus do ? We have to start making a diference before its too late. We have to turn this thing around. If we call ourselves christians, we will be held accountable. Lets quit trying to just build bigger churches and build up our young people. Do we love them, like jesus loves us.

I know one of the young men involved in the shootings. My prayers are with the victims families. The Good Lord gives us the opportunity to make positive changes in our lives time after time and when we choose not to follow the Lords way this is the outcome. I know its hard for some of us to do the right thing, for whatever reason, but we have to make better decisions. Millions of chilldren are being raised without both parents, no parents, or in single parent homes, this is not an excuse to go out and take on the title of John Wayne. I just pray that the gentlemen that was harmed recover speedily. I will continue to pray for you all. God Bless you all.
I say shut the Soundtrack down and the parking lot next to it is for a long time standing drinking outlet called the "Cool Spot" which is anything and everything that is up to no good. Folks stand out there almost 24/7 everyday except sunday doing whatever: alcohol, drugs, clothes, food, prostitution. This has been going on since what seems to be the beginning of time. I think that the law should be enforced more about the loittering there but I guess some of the commissoners probably hang over there too so there by keeping the business going strong. Maybe if or when something tragic happens to one of their family members or friends, then maybe just maybe they'll make the loittering law effective. The Soundtrack should be more in tune with their security if they are going to have entertainment which will keep producing violence or just stop having this type of business and remain a restaurant instead.
