GIBSON, Ga. - Mr. William Thomas Gray, 76, of Gray Street, entered into rest Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the University Hospital, Augusta, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, at Mill Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Key and Rev. Waymon Dotson officiating. Interment will be in the Gibson First Baptist Church Cemetery, Gibson, Ga. Mr. Gray was a Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the V.F.W., and was retired from the Thomson Oak Flooring Company, a native of Glascock, Co., and lived here all of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mrs. Helen Laster Gray; one son, Alex W. (Kimberly) Gray of Gibson; and one daughter, Debbie (David) Kitchens of Sandersville; three grandchildren, Candace Kitchens, Gage Gray, and Billy DeLoach. Mr. Gray was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mr. Percy and Mrs. Maudie Daniel Gray; two sisters, Burnice Gray Hardin and Lois Gray Story. Pallbearers are: Thomas Story, Gilbert Story, David Story, David Kitchens, Billy Laster, and Wayne McDonald. The family will receive friends today from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Glascock County Concerned Citizens in care of Mrs. Corene Chalker, 3037 Bastonville Rd., Gibson, GA 30810.
