AUGUSTA, Ga. - Vernon Anthony Ashley, 36, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 20th, 2008. Born on February 11th, 1972 in Augusta, Ga., Vernon was the son of the late Vernon Dozier Ashley. He is survived by his loving Mother, Sibyl Ruth Wylds Ashley; Sister, Veronica Ashley; Brother, David Ashley and Brother, Benjamin Ashley and his wife, Marla Telfair; Step-Mother, Joan Ashley; Step-Sister, Andrea Turner and husband, Joe-Hal Turner; Step- Brother, William Jackson and Step-Brother, Patrick Jackson; as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Vernon was a free spirit who loved the river and was an avid wake boarder. His smile will be remembered in the hearts of many. There will be a private service held for the family.
