AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. John E. "Jack" Gallagher of Jamaica Drive in Augusta entered into rest on Wednesday, August 20, 2008. He was 77 years old. The family will receive friends today, Friday, August 22, 2008 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road. The funeral service will be conducted today, Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The committal service will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Rev. Fred Heard will officiate. Mr. Gallagher is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gretchen F. Gallagher; sons, Kevin C. Gallagher and his wife, Donna, of Cleveland, Tennessee, and John C. Gallagher and his wife, Jo-Ann, of Grovetown; sisters, Judy Sandano and Janice Gallagher; five grandchildren. Mr. Gallagher was retired as the personnel manager from The Kendall Company. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
