Vote the rascals out of government

Does anyone in their right mind believe that if the oil companies wanted to drill for oil that they can't because of the Democrats?

We all know Big Oil has every politician in its pockets and can do whatever they want. Or do you believe that all Democrats are honest and do not take Big Oil's money? Think: These politicians have been talking about this since Nixon has been in office -- that's 35 years and counting. Oil makes billions with the expense of drilling. Case in point: U.S. Sen Ted Stevens of Alaska.

Maybe I lived in a different world, but when George W. Bush was elected the first time, the joke was that gasoline will go to $5 a gallon because he and dad are oil men. The only way to make a profit is to sell more or raise the price of that product. I'll bet Bush got a nice bonus, as did Vice President Dick Cheney for his Halliburton ties.

The oil from Iraq was to pay for this war. It hasn't, but Bush has spent this country into its worst shape ever . First the feds will cut funds to the states, and they will raise taxes. Then they will cut Social Security, then Medicare, then raise your taxes, and you'll have less money.

To stop this kind of representation is to vote them out. Good and bad will have to suffer until they get the message that we are tired of it all. If you don't, it will be politics as usual. It's the only way in this two-party system -- and believe me, it is just a two-party system.

Hey Lenny, check the congressional record if you don't believe this. You blame Bush, but you fail to look at the Democratic idiots now running congress like San Fran Nan and Harry Reid who continuously vote against further exploration.

If we can't find more oil, wherever it is, we can't use it. As I said before, check the record. And for all you who want to say Republicans are at fault too, I agree. Vote all their sorry butts out, now! Send a message for furture officeseekers. Do what's best for our interest, not yours...or else!

Check the record- it was Bush senior that banned off-shore drilling.
Also note, Dems in Congress don't have enough votes to pursue new policies yet. Repubs are using the 'further exploration' game as publicity. Big Oil has an area the size of Georgia and Alabama together that they are not drilling on now- that is not because of some liberal environmentalists.
If we spent the same money we would on off-shore drilling and exploration onto new technologies, our economy would be oil free in ten years. Republicans need to stop dissing American ingenuity.
While Obama says 'yes we can', McCain scrambles to say 'no we can't either'.
I am a 52 year old engineering student at UGA. From what I see there...yes we can.

There is so much talk about Term Limits when all voters have the power of insuring term limits. Vote them out and you have the desirable Term Limits.

Leonard, by picking and choosing information, you can create any scenario you wish with any entity you wish, but if you take all of the information available, you'd find that the major road block to increased oil production and oil products(gasoline) production is the Democrat party....in this two party system. You may need to study the old GIGO concept.

dani

cyou..Now for the rest of the story ...The executive drilling ban was issued in 1990 by the current president's father, President George H W Bush, ................and then extended by President Bill Clinton until the year 2012.

What is the GIGO concept? Get In Get Out

I didnt realize that Bush was up for election

Congress, President and Supreme Court, 545 individuals control your life. Has been, will be. Kneel and prayer for mercy.

justthefacts

deekster, speak for yourself. I control my life.

dani

deekster..The people assume that the president controls much more than he does. So many seem to blame or credit the president for events that they cannot nor or they expected to control.

jack

cyou299, it was Bush 43 that also rescinded Bush 41's ban on off shore drilling. Now who do you blame? It has been the DIMocRATS for decades, supported by the econuts that have prevented our drilling here and drilling now. Just check the Congressional Record for facts and quit swallowing the DIMocRAT lies.

jack

cisyx, it amazes me how ignorant so many American sare of how thoer goverment actually works. Bush can't spend money Congress doesn't give him. The DIMs have been in control of Congress for two years now and we have had the price of gas spiral skyward and an economic down turn, incuding the mortgage/banking fiasco, but Bush gets the blame. Pure American ignorance from DIMocRAT dumbing down in our guv'munt schools.

If I was 52 and hadn't graduated UGA yet, I'd keep my mouth shut about everything. I'd be ashamed to tell it.

Oh come on ....North Augusta, sadly the stories about mental illness around SRS may be true.
