AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Geraldine White Flono, 73, affectionately known as Gam, was born to the late George and Georgia White on June 25, 1935. On August 17, 2008 the Lord saw fit to call Gam from labor to reward. Gam joined Bethany Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully. She was married to Robert Flono, Sr., who preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Saturday, August 23, 2008 from Bethany Baptist Church, Clarks Hill, S.C., Rev. Winston Oliphant officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving husband, Almus Littles, Jr.; three daughters, Emma (Ronnie) Nestfield, Augusta, Madeline Flono, Augusta, Georgette Flono Williams, Birmingham, Ala.; two sons, Robert (Thelma) Flono, Riverdale, Ga., Charles T. Flono, Augusta; two stepsons, Rodney (Genie) Little, Louisville, Ga., Earl (Catherine) Little, Augusta; one sister, Elizabeth (Willie) Houston, Evans; one brother, George (Nancy) White, Jr., Martinez; two aunts, Bessie Thomas, Evans, Millie Wilson, New York, N.Y.; two sisters-in-law, Fannie M. Flono, New York, N.Y., Marie Flono, Evans; a devoted granddaughter, Latesha Flono; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. Mrs. Flono will lie in state from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service on Saturday at the church.
