THE AUGUSTA WEST ROTARY CLUB is seeking nominations for its inaugural Vocational Service Above Self award for small businesses in the Augusta area. The award, which will be presented in October during Rotary International's Vocational Service Month, will recognize a local small-business owner whose ethics, community service and leadership best exemplify Rotary ideals.

The award will be an annual event. Businesses must meet the following criteria for nomination:

- Candidate must be the principal owner (Rotarian business owners are eligible)

- The business or firm must have 19 or fewer employees

- The company must be based in the metro Augusta area

To nominate a business, send a letter of recommendation that includes examples of the company's civic and charitable involvement and its history of ethical business practices to Augusta West Rotary Club, c/o Frank Barbee, P.O. Box 3504, Augusta GA 30914.
