Dr. Rebecca R. Sharitz , a plant ecologist at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, has been elected a Fellow in the Society of Wetland Scientists for outstanding contributions in teaching, research and service in her area of specialization.

Linda Walker has been named the Top Mortgage Loan Producer from Rhodes Financial Mortgage for achievements in units and volume in July.

Dr. Stilianos E. Kountakis , vice chair of the Department of Otolaryngology in the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine and director of the Georgia Sinus Center, has been elected to a one-year term as president of the Georgia Society of Otolaryngology.
