AUGUSTA, Ga. - Melissa Torres, 24, entered into rest Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Pastor Wesley McClain officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Miss Torres was a native of Jersey City, New Jersey and had made Augusta her home for the past 17 years. She was a member of First United Penticostal Church. Survivors include, Her mother, Carmen Torres; her brother, Angel Torres; Paternal Grandmother, Carmen Torres; Maternal Grandfather, Francisco Maldonado; and several uncles and aunts all of Augusta.
