AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Tuesday, August 12, 2008, Mrs. Carolyn L. Williams, wife of Joseph Williams, Sr. Mrs. Williams was retired from Roses Department Store. Family members in addition to her husband include her daughter and son-in-law: Alice and Billy Burkart of Augusta; sons: Joseph Williams, Jr. and Richard Williams, both of Augusta; sons and daughters-in-law: Franklin and Jane Williams of Waynesboro, Michael and Christine Williams of Hephzibah; sister and brother-in-law: Dot and Ralph Dillman of Martinez; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joseph and Mary Ann Mathis of Martinez, Clinton (Bucky) and Patty Mathis of Georgetown, SC; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lois and Clinton Mathis; her sister: Barbara Kramer and her grandson: Ashton Burkart. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, August 15, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters.
