HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Funeral services for Mr. Robert "Bob" Daniel Ivey, 83, of Turkey Trail, Hephzibah, Georgia, who entered into rest August 14, 2008, will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Eric Bruton officiating. Private interment. Mr. Ivey was a native of McKenzie, Alabama, a former resident of Jackson, SC, having made Hephzibah his home for the past 30 years. He retired after 30 years of service as an Electrician at E.I. DuPont and was a teacher at Augusta Technical College. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of the Georgia War Veterans Home for their excellent care. Survivors include his wife, Betty Ivey; six daughters, Joyce Fernandez, Mobile, Al, Gail Perry (Loiel), Centreville, AL, Karen Holden (Lowell), Clarks Hill, SC, Marsha Carpenter (Steve), North Augusta, SC, Barbara Landers (Billy), North Augusta, SC and Teresa Hester (Wayne), North Augusta; five sisters, Cora Bell Wells, Jay, Florida, Eva Dell McKinney, Pace Florida, Berta Ray Bowen, Florida; Zerlean Allegri, Fare Hope, AL and Myrtle Lucas, Charleston, SC; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
