MILLEN, Ga. - Mr. Cleveland 'Cleve' Garvin, 87, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Bethany Nursing Center. He was born in Jenkins County, was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a retired carpenter and member of the West Millen Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday at West Millen Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Millen Cemetery with military honors. Survivors include his wife, Barnetta Waye Garvin; four daughters, Faye (Wayne) Long of St. Mary's, Joyce Garvin of DeLand, FL, Vivian Bryant, and Paula Currington both of Millen; two sons, Ray (Bonnie) Garvin of Millen and Roy (Mary Margaret) Garvin of Summerville, SC; sixteen grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Active Pallbearers will be Grandsons. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Crowe-Fields Funeral Home. Sign the guestbook at AugustaChronicle.com
