Saether birdied six of her first seven holes and totaled 9-under 135 in the event, shortened to 54 holes after rain on Friday.
Maria Hjorth also shot 64 in a bogey-free round and shared second with Lora Fairclough (66) to trail by one stroke.
NATIONWIDE TOUR: In Wichita, Kan., Scott Piercy was 5-under on his third round and held the lead at the Wichita Open when play was halted with the leaders playing No. 18.
Piercy, who shot 64-62 the first two days, was at 21-under. Hunter Haas, who was 6-under for his round, was three strokes back. Haas opened with a pair of 65s.
U.S. WOMEN'S AMATEUR: In Eugene, Ore., Duke star Amanda Blumenherst and NCAA champion Azahara Munoz advanced to the U.S. Women's Amateur final at Eugene Country Club.
Blumenherst beat 15-year-old Erynne Lee, of Silverdale, Wash., 3 and 2. Munoz, the Arizona State star from Spain, edged compatriot Belen Mozo 4 and 3.
Blumenherst lost last year's 36-hole final 1-up to Maria Uribe at Crooked Stick.
