I THINK EVERY gas pump should have pictures of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi prominently displayed on them. These two should also have to supplement (out of their own pockets) our costs at least $1 each for every gallon of gas we buy. They want everyone to suffer with high gas prices. What arrogance!

THIS IS A RANT to all those people who feel that all homeless and lower income people are all useless, unemployable and using the system unfairly.

RANT FOR THE "powers that be," at The Chronicle for permitting the "clique," on the Rants & Raves section to use it as their personal chat board.

CONGRATULATIONS , Augusta Lynx, on your new affiliation with the Tampa Bay Lightning. This is a very positive step and I am looking forward to the coming season. LET'S GO, LYNX!!!!

HOW WOULD YOU feel if a brain surgeon was about to operate on your brain and he did not meet the requirements, but they felt sorry for him and let him pass? If schoolchildren cannot pass the test then they should do the classes over again.

A RANT REGARDING seniors paying school taxes again. I paid school taxes and then some while my children were in school and was proud to support my school system. I don't think it is right that they should expect us to start paying again. It is just NOT RIGHT!

I FLEW IN AND out of Augusta Regional airport recently. I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly impressed with the renovations there. You can't pull up to the front door and see your plane on the other side of the building anymore. I think I will fly more often, as my ticket cost about as much as gas to drive down there would have cost. It was also great because I saved a lot of time that could have been wasted driving.

THIS IS A RANT against your editorial page talking about how Obama's trying to tar McCain as a racist. Race is always an issue, especially when you've got a half-black and half-white man who's supposed to bring the best of both worlds. He can relate to both races. But coming from the Augusta who has used race for years, that's what I call reprehensible.
