Raymond D. Mealing (NEWBERRY, S.C.)

NEWBERRY, S.C. - Mr. Raymond D. Mealing, 47, of Fair Street, entered into rest August 4, 2008 at his residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. Mealing, a native of Edgefield County, attended Strom Thurmond High School. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Survivors include five sisters, Roberta (Edward) Lott, North Augusta, Mary A. Hunter, Augusta, Mattie (Juan) Sanchez, Newberry, S.C., Brenda (Sam) Broadwater, North Augusta, and Eva (Doug) Moore, Edgefield; six brothers, David "DT" Mealing, Florida, Jessie J. Mealing, Graniteville, S.C., Albert Mealing, Pennsylvania, Alfred (Shirley) Mealing, John H. Mealing, and Joseph (Johnnie) Mealing, Edgefield; a host of other relatives and friends.
