THOMSON, Ga. - Mr. Robert L. 'Bobby' Stevens, Jr., 65, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Anne Stevens, of Westview Dr., died Friday, August 1, 2008, at Doctors Hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 3, in the Westview Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Garvin officiating. Mr. Stevens was a native of Richmond County, but had lived in Thomson most all of his life. He was retired from the Georgia State Patrol, after 34 years of service. He was a graduate of Thomson High School and the Augusta Law School. He was a member of Thomson First United Methodist church and had been attending Sweetwater Baptist Church for several years. He was preceded in death by his son, Lee Stevens and his father, Judge Robert L. Stevens Sr. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Anne Stevens, Thomson; his mother, Mrs. Margaret Stevens, Thomson; and his sister, Mrs. Jane Chalker, Thomson. Friends may call at the residence.
